- Subscribe to a magazine like Mens / Womens Health, Muscle and Fitness, Surf, Oxygen or any magazine that profiles healthy fit people. It’s motivating to see what can be achieved when applying yourself.
- Bring a friend on your next walk/run for some great conversation and a bit more excitement!
- Wear a pedometer on your next walk/run to count your steps. 10’000 steps (about 5 miles) are recommended for good health.
- Snag a personal trainer for 6 sessions. Learn some new exercises to spark your workouts.
- Set a “Purposeful” goal; one that has personal meaning to you. You’re less likely to shrug off a workout when you value your results.
- Dance any time and any where that you won’t get arrested. Load your I-Pod with your favorite dance tunes and move it- move it!
- Train for a race (walk/run) that’s about 6 weeks away. This will give you time enough to prepare but not enough time to procrastinate. Our home page has plenty of events to choose from.
- Play! Just get out and play catch with your children or a buddy. Try “Battle Frisbee”!
- Try a new class at your nearest fitness center! Most first timers get a free class voucher to try it out. The music is always pumping and the instructor will motivate you!
- Pull out your old aerobic videos from the 80’s! You’ll love the music and crack up when you see the outfits from “way back then” hahaha!
