This season's scoring average: 71.0 (down from last year's 74.3). Paul played #1 on the Great Bridge H.S. varsity golf team. He was 5th at the district tournament, tied for 8th at the regional tournament and qualified for the state tournament in Haymarket, VA. Paul helped his golf team to place 2nd in the Southeastern district. He was the medalist (lowest score) in 5 district matches out of 9. Paul carries a 1.9 handicap at his home course, Cahoon Plantation. He has a Cahoon Plantation course record at 67
from the Men's tees. He's played all 4 years on the GBHS golf team. Paul is a senior and is hoping to play college golf next year.  Paul and his coach, Chris Smith, feel Paul's lower scoring average this year was greatly due to his work-out at BodyTek. Chris says that Paul is hitting the ball much farther than he was last year.

We're very proud of Eileen for "Sticking with it". Her achievements are well deserved and admired by us all. We salute your dedication, determination and DAZZLE both in and out of the gym! Check out Laces and his sister Bria kicking it with Judge Creekmore! -See Entire Article

Check BT's strong Team after completing the 18th Annual 5K Run on July 29th! Norfolk Botanical Gardens sponsored this fund raiser for St. Mary's Home for Disabled Children. BodyTekers smashed it with all but one runner competing in their 1st race. One of our Jr Elites (Jake) even placed 2nd in his age bracket. Congrats to Lori, Leslie, Maggie, Kelly, Mariah, George, Connor, and Jake! All of you are BT Champions.
Mike Taroli "Mikey T" recently paid us a visit and demonstrated his skill with the speed rope! The Tour De Cure race survived in spite of rain and strong head winds. There were many inspirational sites along the 100 mile trek as well as the other legs of the race. Some accidents left riders unable to finish and weather conditions pulled at least one team completely out of the race. The event raised a chunk of funds for the Diabetes Foundation. It also gave participants the chance to show their commitment, by grinding out the miles against Mother Nature’s wishes.

Shown here are Lee, Jake, and Beth Brinn of the BodyTek team. The team also included Trainer: Jesse Lis, Trainer: Joe Mizal, Trainer: Colin Williamson and Kim Bartow, a client of BodyTek Personal Training.

Hats off to Jake Brinn, the only child to complete the 50 mile trek. Big things come in small packages for sure! Thank you to all the athletes and sponsors who gave it up for a cure.
