Lee Brinn began his fitness career in high school competing on the long distance running team. Three years of competitive running taught him much about calorie burning, muscle design, and pain management. Discovering that his body type was better suited for lifting he checked out the local gyms. The local boys club delivered the most practical hands on approach to physical development that he had encountered. Here young men and women learned the importance of smart training, dedication, and mixing fun with fitness. It was there that he first became interested in muscular development.
In 1985 he stumbled upon a personal trainer who helped him fully understand the mindset and training regiment of a bodybuilder. Lee completely immersed himself into the sport along with its structured and disciplined lifestyle. He competed in his first competition, the AAU Virginia State Bodybuilding Championships, in 1995. He placed fourth in the men’s short class at the drug-free championship. He’s continued to place among the top three at other shows. He believes that doing what scares you is the most effective formula for personal and physical growth. Lee began BodyTek about eight years ago as a mobile personal training company. He visited clients at their homes with a Resist-A-Ball and dumbbells. Since then, the company has grown to what it is today – a state of the art training club with elite trainers, a web information site, an online training program, and even a an easy to use eat right menu program found in your local restaurants. Lee is IFPA certified with twenty-two years of hands on experience in the training field. He has helped some of his weight loss clients lose up to 100 pounds and others to get conditioned for high school and college sports. Lee is 45 years old and husband to Beth Brinn his business partner and high school sweetheart. They live in Chesapeake where they raise their son, Jake.
